Due to the Coronavirus Social Distancing Measures we will be implementing the following process for all pet visits to the clinic or for grooming.
Our Fear-Free Certified Staff is here to help you. Here is how:
- Schedule your appointment (by phone, through email, text or our app).
- We will meet you in the parking lot or at our front door to get your pet. You may remain safe in your vehicle or in the hall outside our front door.
- We can speak with you on the phone, before or after you bring your pet in, with any questions or concerns we may have about your pet.
- When we are done, we can charge you out over the phone by credit card if you like, then we can meet you at our front door or bring your pet out to your car.
- And because we are a Fear-Free facility you know your pet is getting LOTS of love and attention the whole time they are here! Did someone say peanut butter and easy cheese?
We promise to make your pet have just a twinge of remorse when they have to leave the clinic.
At Santaluz Animal Care, our Santaluz / Rancho Santa Fe veterinary team is dedicated to providing your beloved pet with the quality compassionate care he or she deserves. About our Veterinary Team
Our North County San Diego veterinary team here at Santaluz Animal Care is led by Dr. Laura Greenlee Johnson. Dr. Johnson is a licensed California veterinarian who has over twenty years of experience in treating many different types of pets. She strongly believes in treating all pets who come into our clinic as members of our own family. You can rest assured that your pet is in capable hands when in her care. She also takes the time to educate pet owners on all procedures and treatments, leaving plenty of opportunities for you to ask questions or bring up any concerns you may have.
In addition to Dr. Johnson, we also have a number of registered veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, room technicians and grooming staff members who are here to make your experience and your pet's experience with us as enjoyable as possible. We know that for many pets, a visit to the vet is anything but fun—which is why we strive so hard to maintain a calm, welcoming, and fear-free environment at all times. All of our staff is well-trained, gentle and pet-friendly for your peace of mind and comfort.
Our Services
Santaluz Animal Care is a full-service clinic, so you can turn to us for all your pet's health and wellness needs. We offer not only routine care in the form of vaccinations and wellness exams but diagnosis and treatment for injuries and illnesses as well. Furthermore, if your pet is in need of a surgical procedure, dental care, or anything in between, we have the experience and resources to help.
During our regular office hours, we even offer emergency and urgent care to dogs, cats, pocket pets, and reptiles. We hope your pet will never need to utilize these services, but if you do, please just give our office a call (if possible) while on your way in.
